General Secretary
Dominick Luquer is the General Secretary of FIA. Appointed in 2001, he runs the Federation from its two offices in London and Brussels. With a legal degree from the Catholic University of Milan and a Masters’ in European law from the College of Europe, Bruges, his main fields of expertise include intellectual property rights, trade union training, fundraising, lobbying and management. He is fluent in Italian, French, English and Spanish.
Deputy General Secretary
Dearbhal Murphy is the Deputy General Secretary of FIA. She was appointed to this post in 2008. She holds a degree in languages from University College Cork and an MA and DEA in International Relations from the University of Limerick and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Paris. Based in the FIA office in Brussels, she assists the General Secretary in all fields of activity of the Federation, with additional emphasis on European affairs. She is fluent in English and French and has a good knowledge of German and Dutch.
Office Manager
Marie-José Albertini Dassa is FIA's Office Manager. Based in London, she was employed by the Federation in 1992 and is fluent in French, English, German and Spanish. She is in charge of the day-to-day administration of the London office and ensures a reliable communication with FIA’s affiliates around the world. She is also in charge of the office filing system, archiving and accounting.
